Better Than a Selfie

New Art And Poetry By My Friend Karen Glosser @kglosserdesigns

Nature Whispers

Clear skyDeep crystalline blue
Sun, lingering late day warmth
Golden

My mind wanders…
I close my eyes
Pause…
Longing for more summer

Refreshing wind
Gentle rustling above
Eyes open, fiery auburn light
I look up

And Nature whispers,
“It is time to move on…
Look closer…
I have something new to show you.”

Penn Station – Photo of the Day

“Any city gets what it admires, will pay for, and, ultimately, deserves. Even when
we had Penn Station, we couldn’t afford to keep it clean. We want and deserve
tin-can Architecture in a tinhorn culture. And we will probably be judged not by
the monuments we build but by those we have destroyed.”
– “Farewell to Penn Station,” New York Times editorial, October 30, 1963

Artwork of the Day

Being an Architect who is an aspiring Artist & Photographer I feel like this collage/montage demonstrates the ability of the Architect’s eye to capture light, shapes, and textures of the city on a new and interesting way. I hope that by experimenting with my skills as an Architect/Artist/Photographer I can offer a new perspective on things to my audience. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do.

Photo of the Day

I remember being a boy about 5-years-old and looking up at this American flag from my father’s rust-colored Monte Carlo after going to Sunday mass at St. Casmir’s Church in the Ironbound, Newark NJ. 30 years later the flag is faded, but it is still there. The building and the image of the American flag imprinted on it have become part of the iconography of the city as well as part of the urban fabric of the city of Newark.

Just For Fun

Armani Jeans Photo Shoot (Altered Image by FC3)

Architects don’t have much time to go to the gym.  However, I did find some time to do some quick Photoshop work using Adobe CS3:

Scroll down for the original image staring Ronaldo, a famous international soccer superstar and model.
