New Art And Poetry By My Friend Karen Glosser @kglosserdesigns

Clear skyDeep crystalline blue
Sun, lingering late day warmth
Golden
My mind wanders…
I close my eyes
Pause…
Longing for more summer
Refreshing wind
Gentle rustling above
Eyes open, fiery auburn light
I look up
And Nature whispers,
“It is time to move on…
Look closer…
I have something new to show you.”

“Lord most giving and resourceful,
I implore you;
make it your will
that this people enjoy
the goods and riches you naturally give,
that naturally issue from you,
that are pleasing and savory,
that delight and comfort,
though lasting but briefly,
passing away as if in a dream.”
~Aztec prayer, circa 1500s

“A Woman” — A Collaboration by @Zorlone and @FrankCunhaIII
Posted: October 3, 2012 Filed under: FC3ZMD, Poetry | Tags: Art, FC3ZMD, Photo Art, Photography, Poetry, Zorlone 2 CommentsThrough the hour glass
shaped wire
I make out a figure
of a woman.
In her form,
I can see the universe.
All the colors and shapes
that form
the space
around us are present
in her outline.
In the curves
I can make out each planet,
each cell,
and each subatomic particle.
She is the universe,
she is life!

Photo Art by Frank Cunha III (taken with iPhone, edited using Snapseed, scratches added on iPad using SketchBookX app) — USA
This sunset and springtime,
colors of my tired mind.
Painting the memories,
of another lifetime.
Past and present chances,
woven in time and space.
Lines of songs and dances,
like rain in dreams embrace.
As the sun bids farewell,
this day to remember.
Bridging thoughts and stairwells,
this future to answer.
My memories remind,
of a painting sublime.
Colors of my tired mind,
this sunset and springtime.

the silent gaze
of your sympathy.
Stepping ever slowly
on shards of glass
as I walked away.
I bleed
from the cut
sliced skin
of my decision
to grow apart –
from your side.
I cried.
The thoughts
of your kindness
that I disregarded
and abandoned
from fear
of leaving behind
a life that I knew.
I am sorry.

Twice in a mundane day,
Unnoticed by most walks of life.
The perfect scene of perfect light,
Strikes at the golden hour.
Like reflections on both ends of the Earth,
Stretched by the reach of the sun.
The day begins when another ends,
But meeting halfway at the golden hour.
Awed in a similar scene,
The skyline of blue and yellow.
These ghost silhouettes and familiar shadows,
Are formed at the golden hour.
With the same expression of a precise time,
Separated by the distant future and the known past.
The present is clearly united,
And in sync at the golden hour.

I stood
At the
Edge
Of a sharp
Fence of shadows
Careful not to get wounded
Careful not to bleed.
I was lost temporarily
From the presence
Of overlapping lines
Of spheres
And swords
And daggers
And of mistakes.
There could be more
Of these picket fences
Of these thin soldiers
Of these dark knights
That stood on ground
To protect
To defend
To throw
Their lives.
They stood
Still and firm
In attention
Of the lines
There
In.

The original photo taken by my friend and international collaborator, Lorenzo Bernardino, inspired me to talk about the #3 and why I think it is such a fantastic number (besides the fact that it is my name).

against the dark smudged sky.
The ground prepares to grumble,
but you kept asking me why?
Progress makes way for birth
of art built on stolid need.
Don’t worry about the hurt
your loneliness shall heed.
Departed folks and tenants note
the memories you’ve helped create.
A passing of the times worth
every ounce of struggle you ablate.
Remembering you in black and white
to immortalize your passing.
A tower stood once so bright
now makes room for this town’s bidding.

To Live a Life of Love is to Love the Life We Live: Tenderness of Mind, Body, and Soul | 03071202500316 — Collaboration by @FC3ZMD @Zorlone @FrankCunhaIII

My conscious – clear,
Like glass,
Sins from flesh and mind, forgiven.
Thoughts–
Now pure and sound.
Help me to unbound.
From this dust
Whence I came.
My Mind and Spirit roamed.
No longer,
Shall I thirst.
I am quenched from sin.
With Your Love and eternal space.
Forgiveness and tenderness abound.
I thrive,
And Live on Your sweet song.
Fit for a King,
A King, shall I be?
My Mind, Body, and Soul touched by Your grace.
At Your side,
Shall accept a crown?
For peasants on Earth are we.
Nobility is what we all seek.
The Creator and us are one.
Of same Stuff,
Of same Particles,
Of same Energy.
Every moment big or small,
And those moments all in One.
Tender moments past and future,
What a delight,
To see the light so bright.
Now I live a life so full,
For my heart is filled with Love,
I will proclaim My Kingdom to All,
Because in God We are all One.
We are same now,
We are same forever,
Hate is gone,
Replaced by Joy,
But only when we Rejoice.
Faith in religion?
Belief in Oneself?
Without us, without God, without Love.
Hate only condemn ourselves,
God is Love,
Love is true,
Love is grand,
Love helps us be more kind.
To Live a life of Love
Is to Love the Life we Live.

Metallic, silver, and cold.
A contrast of the bold.
Of linear and angulated forms,
this far cry from the norm.
A bright, neon green,
impressive behind the scene.
Of loud and brilliant canvas
screaming opinions before us.
The back blue framed window,
lurking under the shadow.
Embraced by the repetitious design
these playful tricks of the mind.
The solid black rails,
anchored in every detail.
Summarizing the rhymes
of a self proclaimed bard of these times.
Unfinished, enigmatic, and grey
with uncommitted thoughts of play.
This articulate structure,
painted words designed to capture.

Not sure why it wound up being in the style of Dr. Seuss other than his birthday just passed and I may have ben subconsciously thinking about him. Or just my kids. Any way… Thought this audio was funny (raw on the fly poetry first, followed by raw soundtrack of my kids reviewing the song/poem/lyrics after listening to it for the first time after dinner. This poem is inspired by Dr. Seuss and his comical contribution to poetry and story telling….
Dinner. Dinner.
What’s for dinner.
I wonder what I’ll have for dinner.
In this winter I’ll eat dinner.
I think it’s great to have some dinner.
Dinner winter. Winter dinner.
Maybe I’ll have a minter with my dinner.
No, a minter won’t be good with my dinner.
Instead, I’ll have a splinter.
No, a splinter won’t be good for my dinner.
So, a winter and a splinter is not good with my dinner,
but I’ll have a fish for my dinner.
One fish, two fish, three fish, four –
five fish, six fish, I ain’t got no more.

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand.
One belonged to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life,
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened
at the very lowest
and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him
and he questioned the Lord about it.:
“Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you’d walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during
the most troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why when I needed you the most
you would leave me.”
The Lord replied,
“My precious, precious child,
I love you and would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then I carried you.”

Darkness veiled a creepy alley,
with mysteries and tragedies.
Walking under a cape of foley,
shadow covered untold stories.
There was silence in the night,
of secrets and of whispers.
Two hands lifted out of sight,
brutal anger and out of temper.
A fatal blow instantly struck,
and another man fell to the ground.
His body was lifeless under a block,
The perpetrator ran without a sound.
Madness and terror lingered,
from a simple misdemeanor.
Long forgotten event conspired,
tucked away from the scene forever.
