Don’t Take Yourself Too Seriously!

“Laugh at yourself and at life. Not in the spirit of derision or whining self-pity, but as a remedy, a miracle drug, that will ease your pain, cure your depression, and help you to put in perspective that seemingly terrible defeat and worry with laughter at your predicaments, thus freeing your mind to think clearly toward the solution that is certain to come. Never take yourself too seriously.”

It’s not only good advice, it’s healthy. Laughter, even (especially?) at oneself, is a gift. It releases endorphins and lifts the weight of the world. My mother, a cancer patient, used to say, “don’t take life too seriously, nobody gets out of it alive.”

Nice one…seriously important to be able to lighten up and laugh…always changes the vibe, the problem is I was serious as a child, never too late to learn and grow…
