After meeting Tom Woodcock (author of “You’re Not Sellin’, They’re Buyin’!”) at the Build Expo in Secacus I was pretty siked to go out there and make some sales. Tom taught us pretty straight forward things we should keep in mind when we are estimating and quoting work as well as “Developing Design Strategies.” Much of what he said was common sense, but to hear a true marketing / sales professional speak in public it is undeniable that there is a special art to it. I did not come prepared to buy his book called “You’re Not Sellin’, They’re Buyin’!” but you can find it here if you are interested in checking it out. You can negotiate him down to $15 because that’s what he was charging for it in person (of course that did not include shipping and handling).
